I decided to make another digging box for my hamster, Taco, since I'm going to change the whole cage into the fall theme setup.
The bottom part is 12.5in x 10in .
The height on the back is 12.5in and the front is 4.5in
Okay, here's the measurement.
Please excuse my ugly paint program skill
This is the side part of the digging box.
So, the left should be 12.5in and the right side is 4.5in
I'm using this piece as a platform because I like this shape, plus I don't wanna waste the cardboard.
For the window part, I used this cookie container.
It's very easy to cut with a pair of scissors.
This is a great material for any DIY project!
Therefore, I need to eat more of these cookies.
This is the front part, which is 12.5 x 4.5 in.
Make sure to cut the plastic 0.5" larger than the actual window size.
The space on each side of the front part is 3.5 in.
I primed the surface with gesso. It helps the colors to come out more vibrant!
Dark brown, light brown, dark yellow, dark red are the best color for any fall-themed DIY project!
I've been collecting these Starbucks lids for DIY projects.
Yes, I drank a lot of these lol.
I primed the surface, with gesso, 3 times until the logo becomes not visible anymore.
I forgot to take pics of painting and gluing them lol.
Well, it's in the video, so.. lol.
This is so neat!
I covered the whole thing (both inside and outside) with the acrylic varnish and then let it dry.
This digging box is bigger than the previous one, so it can hold a lot more bedding and provides a bigger space for Taco to dig!
Look at Taco 😭😭😭💖
He's so happy to have a new playground!!
Look at his facial expression!! SO PRECIOUS!!!💖💖💖💖
He's very interested in snacks lol.
It should be a decoration but eventually became his snack.
And here's the fall-themed hamster cage!
Check out the video below at the end of this post.
